Bio:
Hailing from Saskatoon, SK up in Canada, Bandoliiers are rock ensemble that deliver a powerful fusion of southern rock, outlaw country, and punk-rock energy. With a sound heavily inspired by guitar-driven legends like Jack White, Billy Talent, and Queens of the Stone Age and the songwriting of outlaw country acts such as Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard, Bandoliiers encapsulate the true spirit of rock 'n' roll. Combining raw energy, gritty riffs, and commanding rhythms, their music resonates with fans of both classic and contemporary rock. Known for their versatility, Bandoliiers can perform electric or acoustic; as a duo, trio, or full quartet, seamlessly adapting to any stage or audience.
The band was founded in 2011 by Carson Kaye (guitar/vocals) and Niall Cubbon (drums), long-time collaborators whose dynamic chemistry forms the backbone of Bandoliiers' sound. Carson, celebrated for his unique finger-style guitar technique and magnetic stage presence, brings a blues and rock foundation to the music, while Niall, a seasoned touring drummer, drives the band’s explosive energy. To flesh out their live performances, the duo recruits top-tier musicians on bass and keys, creating a rich and electrifying sonic experience.
Bandoliiers have built a strong reputation in Saskatoon and beyond. In 2021, they were runner-up in the Jim Beam Talent Search, finishing first in Saskatchewan.
Recent years have seen Bandoliiers headline prominent venues and perform to enthusiastic crowds. In 2023, they were featured on the SaskTel Max YouTube series, which showcases Saskatchewan musicians.
